Presenting: Planet Green classes for kids Ages 6-12 - Starts June 13
Wednesday and Friday’s 10-Noon/1-3 PM
(choose your class time)
Learn creative fun ways to respect our planet with hands on eco-friendly art and educational activities based on the Iowa DNR Planet Patrol Series. Limit 25 per class. Thanks to Iowa DNR SWAP Grant funding, pre-registered Iowa residents may attend for $6 per class. $7 for Illinois residents.
Classes held at Reusable Usables/ 322 N Cody/ LeClaire, IA 52753. Ask about series discounts.

May 12 - 10-2 PM Stepping Stone Workshop (pdf flyer) Come between 10 & 2 PM
Reuse materials to make a unique stepping stone for your garden. $5 per person – all materials and supplies included! Great for Mother’s day or Father’s day gifts. Enter your stepping stone in the “Step into Recycling” public found object stepping stone contest. You must enter by Friday, May 11 at Happy Joe’s in LeClaire or email to MelissaF67@aol.com

May 19 - 10-3 PM "Think Outside the Pot" workshop (During LeClaire Market Days)
"Think Outside The Pot"
Drop into Reusable Usables to see about ways to upcycle and container garden without buying a flowerpot. Ideas will be shared, suggestions will be made and tools will be available for use.
If you are unsure about using tools, thats ok, Ellonyia Yenney from Tomboy Tools (www.tomboytools.info/EL) will be leading the project. Bring your own items to work with or pick up something at RU. $3 donation appreciated. Proceeds benefit charity.

Break it down! Who knew composting in the city could be so easy? Composting is the decomposition of organic materials to make an earthy, dark, crumbly substance that is excellent nutrition for your houseplants or enriching your garden. It is the best way to recycle your yard and kitchen wastes, and is a critical step in reducing the volume of garbage needlessly sent to landfills for disposal. Soil and healthy plants depend on compost. Join us in learning how to make compost with no smell, no fuss, and no muss! Hosted by; Kylee Decuir, Activities Director. $5 per person (pdf flyer)
